For non-developers who already know the basics

Build the foundation of your first real web app in 1 day

In one day, you build and publish a live web app where users can sign in, their data is saved, and one external service is connected.

How to request

Idea at a glance

You have already touched vibe coding and learned how to make your own website. Now you want to build something more serious.

But this is where many non-developers get stuck: databases, user authentication, AI integrations, external services, secret keys.

You can spend hours on videos and trial and error.

Or you can learn how the infrastructure around a real product works in one hands-on day by building it yourself.

What changes when, instead of just a website, you already have a real MVP that real users can sign into and start using and paying?

What you will build in 1 day

Example: a working app people can sign into, that saves their data and calls at least one outside service.

  • A working database

Your app stores real data — users, entries, content.

    • what to store and why
    • tables set up in Supabase
    • Google sign-in configured
    • keys handled safely

    Result

Your app remembers users and their data.

  • A live app you can share

A working app online, not just a local prototype.

    • project wired to your database
    • sign-in working end to end
    • first screens built in Cursor
    • deployed and shareable

    Result

You have a real link to send to people.

  • One outside service connected

Your app talks to something else — safely.

    • what an API is, in plain language
    • one service connected step by step
    • secret keys stored correctly

    Result

You know the pattern for adding the next one.

What do you end up with?

  • School supportOne month after the workshop(we'll cover 3 questions)
  • A real app live online with a shareable link
  • Updated materials
  • Login and data storage that you set up yourself
  • A clear pattern you can repeat for the next feature
  • Small-group learning with peers

Who it’s for

  • You have an app idea and want to build the first working version, not just a landing page

  • You want your app to remember users and their data — not just show pages

  • You want to understand what is happening, not just copy code

  • GitHub, Vercel, and Cursor are not new to you

Program

The day

Goal for the day: a live app with Google sign-in and one outside service connected.

Checkpoint: walkthrough of each project at the end of the day.

  1. Understand what data to store and set up Supabase tables.
  2. Configure Google sign-in and wire it to your project in Cursor.
  3. Build the first working screens and deploy the app.
  4. Connect one outside service safely using environment variables.
  5. Iterate to the smallest useful version of your idea.

The schedule may shift slightly depending on participants’ projects and pace.

What you need & tools

What you need

  • You have published something online with GitHub and Vercel at least once.

  • Comfortable in Cursor: you know what agents, commits, and the terminal are for.

  • Basic experience working with an AI assistant — chat, agent mode, or both.

  • A laptop with Cursor installed before the workshop and an active paid Cursor subscription (about USD 20/month).

  • An idea for your own web app — it does not have to be polished.

Tools

  • Cursor

  • GitHub

  • Vercel

  • Supabase

  • Outside services via API

FAQ

  • Not necessarily. But the four things in the 'What you need to know first' section should already feel familiar — you have made a GitHub repo, published something with Vercel, used Cursor at least a little, and worked with an AI assistant.
  • Web apps only. We build things that run in a browser — not Android or iOS apps. If you want to reach mobile users, a web app works on phones too.
  • You will work with AI in Cursor the whole time. You read code, guide it, test it — you are not expected to write it from memory.
  • Cursor, GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, and one outside service. We walk through the setup together at the start of the day.
  • A live app with Google sign-in, a working database, and one connection to an outside service — plus a clear idea of how to add the next feature yourself.
  • Yes — a free GitHub account, a free Supabase account, and a paid Cursor subscription. We share the full preparation checklist before the day.
  • No. It is an offline workshop — the whole point is that you build it live, not watch someone else do it.
  • A small group so everyone gets real attention and actually ships something by the end of the day.
  • Full refund before we confirm the date and venue. After that, only if someone takes your spot.
